Dear all,
Grading finished. I guess that very soon, you will learn your grades. Noone failed. Please see the Problem Set and the Solution Key. Main thing that you should know about grading is that we did not focus on the final equation, each step, which carries you to the final result, has a partial credit. Grading procedure is as follows:
92 - 100 points A | ||
77 - 91 points B | &nbs... |
Dear all,
Please see the Formula Sheet 2021, which will be attached to exam paper, hence you are not allowed to bring it with you. You can see it in the Syllabus 2021 Autumn folder as well. You are not allowed to use any aids like calculator etc. (you will not need them). Your exam is over 100. The exam content is from the beginning up to end of Section 9.2, mainly the sections not covered at Mandatory Assignment. Of course, you are responsible from whole course notes. Good luck.
Dear Friends,
Please see the Solutions of Mandatory Homework. Also, you can find it in Mandatory Assignment folder.
Please keep in mind (for your future studies), if you use a book or publication for the solutions of a Homework (or in your research paper, thesis, etc.), then you have to cite the source. This represents that not you, yourself, did it, it is another researcher's proof. Otherwise, your manner could be defined as plagiarism. This is not ethics.

Dear all,
I plan to see the representative students of this course in the following days. Please let them know (e-mail is also possible), if you have anything to be conveyed to me. Representative students of this course are: Silje M. Bentdal (siljeben@uio.no) and Andreas Slattelid (andreksl@uio.no).
Dear Friends,
In your Homework, at Problem 5, in Equation 1, there is a typo. It should be k/2^{n} instead k/n. This does not change the solution. I corrected it on your H.W., please see Typo corrected.
Dear Friends,
For Problem 5, Equation 1 is given for non-negative errv, but for the solutions of Problem 5, a and b, they are asked for any errv so X does not have to be non-negative.
For Problem 3, you can use any specific u function which satisfies the technical conditions of Problem 3.
Dear Friends,
I don't know Norwegian; hence please prepare your homework completely in English.
Dear Friends,
Please find your Mandatory Assignment here. Also, you can see it in Mandatory Assignment folder on the web-page of this course.
Good luck.
