Syllabus/achievement requirements (MEK3220 - Autumn 2013)

Literature

The curriculum of the course is comprised by the entire compendium, except for

  1. Chapter 9.5 "Longitudinalb?lger i elastisk stav".
  2. The derivation in exampe on the torsion-pendulum at page 73. This is replaced by problem 17 in the leaflet. (The rest of section 9.6 is part of the syllabus.)
  3. Chapter 9.7 "B?yning av bjelker".
  4. Detailed reproduction of the rheological models as discussed in items (i) through (iv) on pages 45-47 will not be required.
  5. The example starting on page 92 on viscous boundary layer along the hull of a speed boat.
  6. Section 11.5. The discussion of the maximum number of constants of elasticity in the last paragraph is not part of the syllabus.
  7. Section 11.8 and 11.9.
All problems which are given for the classes are also part of the curriculum, including problems from the compendium, problems from previous exams and problems from the leaflet . Please do observe that some of the latter problems in reality are additions to, or alternative presentations of, the theory of the compendium (examples: 5, 11, 12, 14 and 15). New problems may be added to the leafet during the autumn.
