Welcome to MAT4590!

The course is an introduction to differential geometry, following do Carmo's book (see Syllabus).  I intend to cover most of chapter 1-8 and selected topics from the remaining chapters.  Chapter 0 contains the necessary background material from manifold theory and will be reviewed at the beginning of the course.    Thus there are no prerequisites beyond general topology.
