Chapter 0: The whole of the chapter except the proof of Proposition 0.19.
Chapter 1: Section 1.1,Section 1.2, except example 1.23 and 1.24.Section 1.3 From p. 56 to p. 75 (up to and including ex. 1.43) with the following exceptions: Example 1.35 and also except is the stuff about representing covering spaces by permutation (from middle of p. 68 to the middle of p. 70)
Chapter 2: Section 2.1, 2.2 , 2.3, 2.A and 2.B with the following exceptions: Example 2.39, 2.40, 2.41, example 2.43 (Examples 2.36, 2.37 and 2.42 are thus part of the syllabus), example 2.48, 2.51 and example 2B.2
The final oral exam will be on June 23. and June 24. You will get more detailed information about time and place soon.
In the lecture 21/5 I will(hopefully) solve the following problems:
2.1: 1, 11, 15, 16, 17, 22 and 28.
Due to the Abel lectures I have decided to cancel the lecture to day (20/5)
This is just a reminder that deadline for the mandatory assignment is Thursday April 23.
I have made a correction in the mandatory assignment, added the condition that the space \tilde X (in problem 3) is path-connected and locally path-connected.
I will be away week 8, so Bj?rn Jahren will lecture on Wednesday 18/2, but the teaching on Thursday 19/2 will be cancelled. I will however assign some problems for you, so if you wish, you can meet in classroom and discus and try to solve these problems.
