Welcome to MAT4230 - Algebraic Geometry III

This course will give an introduction to several topics in algebraic geometry, with emphasis on the theory of curves. Some possible topics include

• Curves (Hartshorne chapter IV)
• Hodge theory (Voisin's books)
• The Torelli theorem
• Moduli spaces of curves

To do this, we will also go through parts of Hartshorne Chapter III (cohomology). For the Hodge theory part, I will go through the necessary background on differential forms and De Rham cohomology.
