In addition to the problem mentioned in the previous message I have added another exam problem (see link in the schedule) on integration of rational functions of sin(t) and cos(t). This topic was not covered by the other exam problems. This means that I will not be able to do everything in class, but I will put everything on the website.
I have added a problem about conformal self-maps of the unit disk to the problems for the last repetion class.
can be found under "Oppgaver" (column on the left).
In the last week of teaching, the exercise session will be on Friday and the Repetion/Exam problems sessions on Wednesday and Thursday.
I plan a small change in the syllabus from last year. I will not cover section VIII.3 and X.1 and instead cover sections IX.1-2.
There was a mistake on page on page 95 in the formula for the coefficients of the Laurent series. There should be a z-z0 instead of just z. It has now been corrected. The same mistake occurs in the notes from the smartboard, which are not possible to correct.
Mandatory assignment no. 2 is now online. In the first two problems it may be helpful to look at (the solution to) assignment no. 1.
In section 6 we only state the first and last theorems, without proofs. We skip section 7 and only cover page 124-125 in section 8.
Students can get help with the mandatory assignment by visiting the "fellesorakel"
The first assignment is now available. Do not miss the deadline Thursday September 19th! Canvas will soon be open for delivery.
My handwritten notes (which differ just slightly from last year's) will be uploaded on the "Schedule" page after each lecture. Exercises for next week will be announced the same place approximately Thursdays the week before. The first week will have more exercises than the coming weeks since we have covered more material.
Welcome to MAT2410 autumn 2019. The first week all three days will be lectures. From next week we plan to use Wednesdays for exercises, Thursdays and Fridays for lectures. We do not plan to deviate much from last year's course, so you can see what will be going on by looking up last year's homepage.
