These corrections have been corrected in the version of the textbook that is now online.
The lecture on Monday May 12th has been moved to Wednesday May14th. Unfortunately, this means that we have to cancel the Problem Session on Wednesday 14th, but we find it more important to finish the curriculum and have some time for exam problems at the end.

The lecture on Friday, April 11th, has been moved to Wednesday, April 9th, 12.15-14. The problem session on Wednesday, April 9th, will not be replaced.
is now available here. Problem 2 requires some knowledge of Section 5.1, the other two problems can be done on the basis of chapters 1-4. Note that the assignment is due on WEDNESDAY, April 30th.

Due to midterm exams in other courses, there are no classes (no lectures, no problem sessions) in the week March 24-March 28. I had forgotten this when I made the schedule for the semester, but it has now been adjusted, as have the dates for the weekly problems.
Due to a meeting we interchange the Monday lecture and the Wednesdy problem session next week. Hence

The textbook is now complete. You can download the entire text or just the new chapters 5 and 6.
The problem session 8-10 on Friday, February 28th, is cancelled, but you are welcome to use the room and discuss with each other! As the first mandatory assignment is due on Thursday, I hope to end the lecture a little early and leave some time for questions about the assignment.
The first mandatory assignment (Oblig 1) is now available here. The deadline is March 6th. The assignment is covered by the textbook up to an including Section 3.2.
In week 8, we switch the Friday lecture and the Wednesday problem session. Hence:

I have corrected the proof of Lemma 2.6.3 in the book. The change only influences pages 48 and 49.
Just to remind you that the problem sessions on Wednesdays start next week (January 29th) although the schedule says they start today (the schedule is automatically generated and we have not found a way to delete the first session). The problem sessions on Fridays start this week (January 22) though.
The problem sessions on Friday mornings have been moved from the Chemistry Building to the same room as the other classes (aud. 1, Vilhelm Bjerknes Building).
The problem sessions will be organized as follows: The classes on Fridays will be conducted as "help sessions" where you may ask Elin questions about the problems you are working on. On Wednesdays. Marcus will show you solutions to selected problems (he will not have time to cover all).
The timing will be as follows: Each week I shall give problems about the material we are covering in the lectures. This material will be discussed in the problem session Friday one week later and then presented in class the following Wednesday.
The Friday sessions will start January 24th and the Wednesday sessions January 29th.
I have now added Chapter 4 to the textbook, both as a separate file for those who have already printed the first three chapters, and together with chapters 1-3.
I have added to new links, one for the weekly problems and one for (brief) reports from the lectures.
The first week of classes we shall cover the material in Chapter 1 of the textbook. This material (mainly about sets, functions and relations) will be familiar to students who have taken the course MAT1140, and they may want to look through the first chapter to see if they want to attend the first two lectures.
I have now uploaded a revised version of the three first chapters of the textbook. More chapters will follow later. I have also uploaded some background material on basic analysis, Analysedrypp, which unfortunately is only available in Norwegian.
