KJM4030 – Pedagogy and teaching practice
Course content
Students will learn to write and correct laboratory reports in Chemistry, and will be trained in pedagogic teaching of bachelor students.
Learning outcome
The course is for Master students in the first term of their study. The teaching starts with ca. 5 hours (one day) of mandatory lectures in pedagogic early in the semester. The students are mandatory distributed as laboratory assistants on KJM1xxx-corses and will be trained in correcting laboratory journals.

Prerequisites
Formal prerequisite knowledge
For Master students in Chemistry and Materials and energy for the future.
Recommended previous knowledge
A Bachelor degree in Chemistry.
Teaching
Within August 10th / January 10th, international students must inform the Examination Officer at the Department of Chemistry (room VU12, phone 22855447) if English teaching is requested.
Access to teaching
A student who has completed compulsory instruction and coursework and has had these approved, is not entitled to repeat that instruction and coursework. A student who has been admitted to a course, but who has not completed compulsory instruction and coursework or had these approved, is entitled to repeat that instruction and coursework, depending on available capacity.
Examination
Oral examination with passed/fail.

No examination support material is allowed.
Language of examination
You may submit your response in Norwegian, Swedish, Danish or English. If you would prefer to have the exam text in English, you may apply to the course administrators.
Grading scale
Grades are awarded on a scale from A to F, where A is the best grade and F is a fail. Read more about the grading system.
