KJM3550 – General Polymer Chemistry

Schedule, syllabus and examination date

Course content

The basic concepts in polymer chemistry. Polymerization reactions-mechanisms and kinetics. Methods for molecular characterization of polymers. Statistical treatment of flexible chain molecules thermodynamics. Polymers rheological and physical properties.

Learning outcome

The student should obtain a broad theoretical knowledge about polymers production, structure and properties, and about the methods and techniques that are used in polymer chemistry.

Admission

Students who are admitted to study programmes at UiO must each semester register which courses and exams they wish to sign up for in Studentweb.

If you are not already enrolled as a student at UiO, please see our information about admission requirements and procedures.
