Diffusion in liquids, NMR part I
IntroductionFourier-Transform Pulsed Field Gradient (FT-PGSE) NMR is a valuable tool to determine self-diffusion coefficients for the components of liquid samples. The students will in this module learn what is meant by self-diffusion and how to measure and determine self-diffusion coefficients using NMR techniques. In addition, the students will gain some practice in interpreting their results in terms of structure and various dynamical aspects concerning liquid solutions of various kind, e.g. polymer solutions and organized liquids.
