UNIK4300 – High speed electronics
Course description
Schedule, syllabus and examination date
Course content
Principles of operation for the new high-speed semiconductor components/circuits based on GaAs and other III-V materials are presented and discussed. The circuit theory applicable for the Gbit/s digital technology and analog microwave circuits operated above 20 Ghz is presented. Applications in the new radio- and satellite systems for interactive systems now being developed and introduced for provision of broadband multimedia services to the public will be discussed.
Learning outcome
To give a fundamental understanding of the new high speed semiconducter circuits which are now being developed and forms a basis for the developement of high capacity cost efficient interactive multimedia system operated above 20 GHz.
