UNIK4160 – Introduction to wireless communications

Course content
This short course is meant as an introduction to the master study in wireless communications. It describes some basic principles that are helpful before starting more in-depth studies of advanced topics in in wireless communications at the master level.
Learning outcome
The intention of the course is to bridge the gap between previous studies and the master program, knowing that there will be students with various backgrounds. The course will also explain how the various course inter-relate, and what part of a wireless system they describe.
Admission

Prerequisites
Recommended previous knowledge
Bachelor degree with some basic communications system or data communications courses. Alternatively – mathematical background
Teaching
Lectures, 4 hours, normally over two days.
Examination
There is no exam, the course is meant as motivation and start-up help for the master studies.
