Learning outcome

At the end of the course, participants know about challenges related to software product and process improvement in systems development organizations.

During the course, participants will study and apply basic methods and techniques for problem analysis and for product and process improvement planning and implementation.

Overlapping courses

9 credits overlap with course IN 331.

Teaching

The instruction will mostly be dialogue-oriented and directed towards practical matters.

There will be 3 hours instruction per week. The time will partly be used to discuss issues related to student projects.

Examination

There will be assigned an individual project report (ca 80% of total grade).

In addition, there will be a oral exam at the end of the course (ca 20% of total grade).

Examination support material

No examination support material is allowed.

Language of examination

The report must be written in English.

Grading scale

Grades are awarded on a scale from A to F, where A is the best grade and F is a fail. Read more about the grading system.

Resit an examination
