No Lecture this Week
Just to make sure you all know: we have moved the final lecture to next week, i.e. there is no lecture tomorrow, and on Wednesday, November 25, we will provide a brief high-level summary of the term and then use the remaining hour or so to prepare for the final exam. We have posted a sample exam to the course pages (linked from the on-line schedule) and will be happy to discuss any questions you might have next week.
Over the past week, we have posted all slide copies and screen casts (see the course schedule), as well as a model solution for problem set (3a) and the exhaustive unpacking code that we developed jointly in the previous lecture (see the SVN repository). Please let us know in case you find any remaining materials missing or discover bugs in our slides or code!
Scores from the last quiz have been posted in devilry, and later this week our final problem set (3b) has its submission deadline. We will aim to give minimal feedback by early next week, so that you can know for sure whether and that you have qualified for the final exam. Generalized chart parsing and probabilistic context free grammars will be very exam-relevant also this year; we encourage everyone to work all the way through this final problem set!
