In the course of the past two days, we have posted some instructions on how to access and configure the Common Lisp environment, as well as various command summaries for emacs and SLIME. Please see the section entitled Course Development Environment on the top-level 2014 course page.
Also, the first obligatory assignment is now available; this will be the topic of the laboratory sessions this coming Monday (September 1; 10:15–12:00), and again the following week (Monday, September 8). The submission deadline for this assignment is Wednesday, September 10; we cannot accept late submissions.
We have just posted the first ‘screen cast’, i.e. an audio-recording of the lecture synchronized to the display that was projected, to the course schedule. We are still not perfectly happy with the recording quality but hope the audio will not be all too painful to listen too.
Over the next few days, we will (a) finalize our ‘getting started’ guide for Lisp development on the IFI student machines and (b) post the first obligatory exercise (1), which will have a submission deadline of Wednesday, September 10.
We are continously adding information to the course page and schedule. Slide copies will typically be posted shortly before each lecture (and often be updated with minor corrections, afterwards). We hope to make available screen casts (a complete recording of the audio session and screen presentation, though no video of the presenter) of lectures, but today at least there appears to be a substantial delay in post-processing the screen cast for streaming. Please stay tuned ...
