Problem 1 (10%)

D= efine and explain following terms: key-frame system, pose-to pose animation, view fustrum.

Problem 2 (20%)=

W= hat are the 4 main principles of computer animation? Give a sentence or two explain= ing each of the principles.

<= o:p>

Problem 3 (20%)=

W= hat is interpolation? Name at least 2 different uses of interpolation techniques in computer animation. Explain briefly how one can use cubic polynomials to sm= ooth a path (trajectory of an object).

<= o:p>

Problem 4 (20%)

E= xplain briefly main phases of animation production.

<= o:p>

Problem 5 (30%)

S= uppose that the object that is to be animated moves from the point (0,0,0) along y-axes for 2 units. Write matrix that corr= espond to this transformation. Now, the object rotates around z-axis 90 degrees and gets reduced in size by 1/2. Find matrix representations for these two transformations, respectively. Find a single matrix representation for the entire motion and give the coordinates of the new position of the object.
