As mentioned, next week UiO will host an international event,
The focus of the event (concurrent and distrubuted systems) is not the same as for this lecture. However, the authors of the book we used are all three coming, and will also probably give a prsentation (we don't exactly know who actually is giving the presentation.).
There will be a presentation in
session 2 and one in session 6

EKSAM-COORDINATES:
as indicated in the email earlier:
========================= date: Friday, May 30 time: starting 9:00 place 2G ==========================
I propose the following protocol. To avoid delays for ``no-shows'' (i.e., people who do not show up even if they appear on the list of registered for the course etc),
all meet at 9:00 at that room.
At that point we fill in the slots below. Each one get's 30minutes (and 5 minutes in between for deliberation). Relevant for the exam is all the things we covered in the lecture (material we did not cover is not relevant, of course). This means much of Chapter 1, almost everything of Chapter 2, and some background information about fix point theory (which one can find in the appendix of the book).
So the slot-scheme is:
time nr. ............ 9:10 1.
09:45 2.
10:20 3.
10:55 4.
11:30 5.
12:05 6.
12:35 LUNJ
13:15 7.
13:50...
I proposed as date of exam Friday, 30.May 2008.
I am waiting for response....

The subversion repos is operational. The link will be here
Further infos later.
I have already loaded up handout 3 for next week. As it contains review question to think about that refers to this weeks lecture, it's worth a look already before the lesson. We will discuss those questions then.
I gave the list with the participants to the administration. For those that had not been on the list and who added themselves in handwriting to that list: I gave also that to the administration.
They told me, in case you are not on that printed list, it's a sign that you are not properly registered in the web/studentweb, so you should do that.
The administration will contact you via email today, and tell you about it. I guess, they can help you also in case you have problems registering.

just as reminder: lectures start Monday, 21. January.
As a glimpse to what roughly will happen in first approximation in the course: slides as presented last time are available via my homepage (via "teaching"):
