Send an email to olati and larshelg AT ifi.uio.no with the following information before Wednesday October 3. 23:59:

• 1st, 2nd, and 3rd priorities on projects you would like to work on.

• The lab sessions you are able to join (same hours as before, but not all can expect to get the same day).

• A justification of why you should be assigned to your prioritised projects - linked to your skills, background, and interests.

Maven now supports annotated tests with JUnit 4 or later. In order to update Maven with the latest Surefire plugin release, execute $ mvn -U test. The JUnit example code has been updated with examples of annotated testing.

The lecture on September 24th has been moved to October 1st.

If you like to start with the part of assignment 2 that involves JUnit, study the lecture slides and the example code under detailed teaching plan for yourself.

A minor bug in the provided source code in assignment 2 has been corrected. The destroy() method in the Hibernate support project was not invoked when the GUI was closed. This affected solutions which depended on the Hibernate SessionFactory to be shut down in order to e.g. write to a file. The updated source code can be downloaded from the assignment information page .

All students at INF5750 now have access to the MMCL lab (by using the student access card).

If you like to start with the part of assignment 2 that involves Hibernate, read the Hibernate in Action sample chapter that is listed under alternative references or the lecture slides under detailed teaching plan for yourself.

Assignment 1 will be corrected today, please check the approval list tomorrow morning; Tuesday Sept 4. If your assignment delivery was rejected, you will get a chance to correct it. Final deadline is Wednesday Sept 5. 23:59:59,99.

For assignment 2, we recommend that you configure Eclipse and Subversion properly. Instructions can be found at the useful links page.

Open Lab Day ("orakeldag") every Thursday at 9-16

To provide extra support to help you get through the intensive first weeks of the course, a lab assistant will be available at the MMCL lab every Thursday from 9-16 during the first four weeks.

Lab group 4 on Thursday 16:15-18 is now open for submission (manually, not on StudentWeb). Please send an e-mail to olati and larshelg AT ifi.uio.no to switch to this group.

Lab group 103 has been moved to Wednesdays at 12.15-14.00.

The lab sessions begin already the first week (August 27.-31.).
