Hi; Monday 10/11 there will be a guest lecture from BEKK consulting about universal design. The lecture will be in Norwegian. After the lecture, we will discuss UD for each project. At the end, CatchAPP will present their project + article. Welcome.
Last week the NordiCHI?14 conference was held in Helsinki. Congratulations to one of our INF5261 participants for contributing with a paper.
Here is the link to Eirik Newth's book, titled: "Overv?kingssamfunnet", which was recommended to us by Christopher Neumann Ruud . The book discusses different arguments for, and against surveillance/ control of internet users, and how privacy issues are violated. These are concrete and very relevant issues in today's societies.

Thanks Christopher :=)

Our feedback to your individual mid-term report is posted under your specific "project group" and our general feedback, which is relevant to most groups is posted under the folder " Mid-term-project-reports".
It was a pleasure for us to read your reports and we hope that our feedback and your peer reviews combine together to guide your projects forward towards a good "finale".
Well done and enjoy the readings :-)
Jo and Hani
Ahoy; we encourage you to read the other mid term reports - to learn more from the other projects.
For the project before you on the project-list (so for example Alpinetec gives feedback to WonderGroup, and Buddy tracker to Alpinetec, and so on...), please give some feedback. One way to do this is to:
1. Write a couple of sentences in your own words what the project is about.
2. Describe 3+ positive comments, i.e what you like - and what you would like to see more of.
3. Describe 3+ critical comments, i.e what you suggest could be done to improve the report/project.
If you want to give feedback to more than one other project, you are of course welcome to do so.
The feedback is to be provided before Wednesday 22 October, 23:59:59.
Good luck
Jo and Hani
Thanks for the presentations today; here is a reference to a book about moving from paper to "the digital" that might be relevant: http://mitpress.mit.edu/books/myth-paperless-office
We have a document, in the "mid-term project reports folder" outlining briefly our expectations to guide your writing so far. We elaborate further during next Monday's seminar ( 6th. October)
Jo, Hani
Our feedback to the different wonder-documents is posted into the wonder documents folder.
Jo, Hani
All students got reading and writing permissions here at Vortex by now. Please download your wonder document to the right folder under "Projects", or create your own folder if that is missing from the projects list. Good luck.
We got some questions about the wonder document.
It is meant to be a project brief (1-2 pages), where you present your group members, project of choice (with title), why have you chosen that particular project, what you plan to examine (some initial research questions), and how you plan to do that (methods). These are stepping stones to guide your ideas and future plans forward.
Please send us your project of choice and group compositions, when ready.
Good luck,
Jo, Hani
