Hi, I started more videos about exercises. Unlike for the lectures I use a tablet. That makes the sound worse, but gives the opportunity to better scribble.
If you look at the page with videos, and click on some of those, you will see the video is sometimes "mirrored"., i.e., it unreadable.
The reason seems to be a feature of the vortex system, getting confused by some embedded meta information.
If you download the videos (instead of watching in a browser), it should work.
The meta information seems to come from the tablet, depending on how I place it (the "top" to the left or to the right, in landscape mode). It's difficult to figure out what is the right orientation, since the tablet looks the similar in all directions.
I have started cloning the solutions to the extent I know where to find them.
Some have not sent me the corresponding link.
I will start soon going through the projects I have received so far. Some who asked got some deadline extension. I asked the projects for which I have not heared anything about where they stand.
Feedback for the finished projects may start soon, one after the other (but later today there is also a PhD defense and other obligatinons later the week. So, I can't promise I am through with all this week.
Hi,
since now one joined the ZOOM meeting today, I simply make a video, which I upload when ready.
Hi,
last wednesday (3rd March), I did not cover the new material.
There were only 2 people in the audience, and we decided to discuss the oblig and challenges there. It seemed a better use of the time.
the matrial (attribute grammars)I will not be covered the material ilecture. It can be read up in the script, the slides, and in a screencast (or a textbook).
I have not done the screencast yet, and also the script-versionsi are not finialized. I am reworking the material a bit (I am not happy with the current version), but it will be avaiable probably next week
Hi
I have uploaded a video corresponding more or less to the lecture from last Monday (15.02). On Monday there had been network problems or server problems of unknown nature. So part of the second half on the lecture could not properly streamed. That part is also covered in the screen cast here and I will not repeat it live via zoom.
Furthermore, some videos in between are missing 05.01-05.04, they will be added later
See https://github.uio.no/msteffen/compila
in particular the steps described in there.
Besides the stept descibed in the readme, I need a ``I'll do the oblig'' email from everyone, to get an overview.
Hi,
as announced, I cannot be in the zoom thing today (other obligations).
Thus, Gianluca has to host the meeting, and that means,
NEW ZOOM ID
Please use the one below.

I published the first exercises. When we discuss them (and how), we will see, next week. Probably Wednesday.
At any rate: the exercises are out. When we do a exercise session (say next Wednesday), then it's best to come prepared (having throught throug the exercises, and perhapts tried to solve them)
Otherwise, it will be a zooming of the teacher's opinon of how he would solve them or has solved them or recommends how one approaches such a problem (and perhaps repeating relevant part of the lecture). But that's not too efficient.
according to UIO's webpages lectures continue digital (/om/hms/korona/aktuelt/digital-undervisning-og-fortsatt-hjemmekontor.html)
the ``digital lectures only'' period has been extended for one extra day, from 18th to the 19th. That means next Monday: zoom.
Hi,
since I have no other way of reaching participants (I don't have a list of participants), I have to post the link here:

Hi,
I started uploading, for now th slides for the first lecture/chapter. There is also script version of the slides.
That can be found as PDFs in the corresponding directory (listed as ``tab'' on the left). The other directories for exercises etc will be filled steps as the semester goes.
As far as I understand, there is NO physical lectures until 18.th Jan.
That means, the lectures will at the beginning be virtual.
The "timeplan" that you find there is therefore NOT reflecting the current situation, at least not until 18.January. The lectures will be ``zoomed'' at the timeslots, but the seminar rooms are irrelevant.
What happens afterwards, time will tell. I will post an update once I know.

PS: the link of the zoom lecture will follow (until back to normal). There will be also screencasts + some script.
