Pensumliste
The pensum consists of selected chapters of the course book 'Sedra and Smith: Microelectronic Circuits' as well as all lecture slides and everything presented in the lectures. Below is a list of books that are also useful material for the course. The chapters are announced in the lectures and will appear in the lecture schedule as the lecture progresses. Furthermore there will be a few additional articles as handed out and discussed in the lecture. Also those will be downloadable from the course schedule and materials link on the course page.
Non-binding summary of book chapters included in the pensum Check the lecture schedule and the podcasts for the final say. Disregard content on bipolar technology.
Chapter 1: 1.1-1.6, note additional slide on junction capacitance (in more detail (non-mandatory) in 1.10-1.12)
Chapter 2: all sections
Chapter 3 only for INF4411 students (self study): all sections
Chapter 5: all but section 5.4 (still good to know)
Chapter 6: sections 6.1-6.3
Chapter 7: all sections (7.7 not discussed in lecture but one of the circuit appeared elsewhere and the other CMOS circuits should be within the scope of students to understand.)
Chapter 8: all sections but 8.2.
Chapter 9: all sections but 9.1. 9.8 not discussed in the lecture but again one of the circuits there has been shown before and the others are of sufficiently low complexity for the students to be able to understand qualitatively.
chapter 10: just as shown on the few slides: the problem of stability in feedback configurations and the term of 'phase margin' should be understood.
chapter 12: just the circuits shown on the slides should be qualitatively known to the students.
