Please note that there will be no lecture next week since I will be travelling. The paper exercise on Monday will be held as usual.

However, please read and understand chapter 7.3 in the book. As an advanced (!) test case to check your knowledge, do a small signal analysis of an inverter with the typical values for a 0.35um CMOS process given in lab 2 with W=L=1um for both PFET and NFET. Assume that the uCox of the PFET is 60% of the NFET but all other parameters are the same. Where will be the point of operation be if you use the inverter as inverting amplifier? What will be its gain and output resistance?

I have updated lab 2 with the last task regarding a 'common source' amplifier! Please download the document again!

Dear students of INF3410/4411,

there is another matter we should get fixed: It appears there is no automatism in getting all students that are registered for the course access to the course lab. Administration prefers that I ask only those of you that need access to send me their

- name,
- university user-ID
- student card number (not your student number but the number of your student card!!!)

they prefer this in order to not grant access to all of those that are registered but that do not actually take the course.

So can all of you that intend to take the labs send me those details please?

Best regards

Philipp

Dear students of INF3410/4411,

for the labs you should now organize yourselves in groups of up to three students. Each group will get assigned a weekly lab time-slot of 2 hours during which a lab assistant will be present in the lab for you to consult. In order to find a convenient time I have set up a Doodle poll under:

http://doodle.com/poll/8k8biuxy3sctiz5z

Please tick off ALL time-slots in the Doodle (so not just a single one please) that would be possible for your group. As a name, please indicate the name of all group members.

Please try to get this done before the next lecture. Next lecture I will present the result of the Doodle and assign each group to one of the time-slots that you indicated. The goal shall be to manage this with only two time-slots total, so again: please indicate ALL time slots that would be possible for you! If you are not yet able to form a group, just fill in the Doodle as an individual. You will get assigned to a t...
