Despite some external challenges (heaps of snow and a power outage at Vilhelm Bjerknes hus :-), Johan and I felt that the first laboratory went comparatively well. The free background book on Lisp that I mentioned is Practical Common Lisp by Peter Seibel. Please note that the submission deadline for the first obligatory assignment is only two weeks away, and that everyone should try to secure as many points as possible as early as possible. For background, please review our policy on obligatory assignments. We will start on Finite State Machines in the lecture tomorrow; but in the laboratory next Tuesday, there will be another half lecture on Lisp. To make that session maximally productive, we urge everyone to work more on the current assignment before next week: prior to the next laboratory, you should aim to have solved at least parts (2) to (7). Believe it or now, you already know everything needed to work on these parts!
