Information for next week
Hey everyone! Crucial information about next week:
- Individual and group assignments: On October 16, you will deliver the individual and group assignments for module 2. These assignments will be submitted the same way as your assignments for module 1.
- Small note on the individual assignment: In the description of task 3, the request to consider optional literature (Skjuve et al., Bomassani et al., Elondou et al., Noy and Chang et al.) can be disregarded as this literature has not been discussed in the lectures.
- Design task: On October 17, each group will present the Module 2 design task. The description of the design task is given in the presentations from Module 2. For the design task, please note the following:
- In the design task you use AI support for designing a simple prototype AI system.
- The design task is meant as an opportunity for you to explore AI tools for AI interaction design. That is, the exploration and reflection on AI tools for interaction design is key to this task.
- The design task can be related to your group assignment, but if this is not feasible it does not have to be related (up to you).
- On October 17, you present only the design task, not the groupwork. (The groupwork will be presented in a separate session at the end of the course).
- When presenting the design task, you do not need slides. Just present the prototype and reflect on your experienes in using the AI tools to make it.
- The prototype in the design task should be early – it does not have to work perfectly. The important thing is that you reflect on your experiences from using AI tools when designing it.
- Presentation time for each group: 4 minutes (2 minutes showing the prototype, 2 minutes reflection on AI tool use)
- After each presentation, there will be 4 minutes of questions and discussion.
- In addition to the presentation on October 17, the design task is also presented as a one page Appendix to the group assignment handed in October 16. In this appendix, use half a page to describe the prototype and how you made it, and half a page on your reflections on the AI tools used in the design process.
- Slides from todays lecture is out in “lecture notes” in the course page
