Mini-Bot

1) Animatronics
We will make a Mini-Bot inspired by the Minions from the Despicable Me movie. It will look at you and mimic your facial expression. We want to do this because we think it is possible and we want Cuong's kid to smile.
2) Goals
The goal of this project is to design a robot that can:
We want to make a "Mini-Bot" robot ispired by Minions from Despicable Me[1]. With a 2DOF head and a mouth that can smile and frown. We want the head of the Mini-Bot to track the person infront of it with a camera[2]. and Face tracking algorithm[3]. As well as mimicing the emotion of the preson with emotion tracking algorithm[4]
3) Sketch and Consept
We will have two Dynamixel AX12 motors in the neck for 2DOF movement. A camera in the eye. A 9g Micro Servo in the head to control the mouth. And optionaly one to control the eyelids. Then in the bottom we will have a raspberry pi and a powersupply. (if the raspberry pi is to slow, we will use a PC)

5) Plan

We plan to optimize the robot to follow the face as fast and accurate as possible.
