F3 lecture materials uploaded.
Sorry, I had the material ready days ago, but discovered that I missed the last step of uploading the material.

Dear all,
today's lecture will be at the usual time 14:15, BUT we can now do physical lecture, so the lecture will be in Seminar rom Pascal OJD 2452.
For those that have COVID/are still far away from UiO/want to stay away for any reason, I will attempt to stream it using the usual Zoom link. AND the lecture will be recorded and posted. SHOULD the recording fail, then I will edit a version of it and publish it subsequently, so that anyone not attending will be able to hear/see it.
Today's subject is DISTRIBUTION - specifically the distribution features of Emerald.
See you there!
-- Eric
Dear students,
For further acquaintance with Emerald, it can be a good idea to make your way through the recently published Exercise Set 1.
I will be available to anwser any questions that you might have on Mattermost throughout the day.
At the end of the day, I will publish notes on solving Exercise Set 1.

Welcome to IN5570 :-)
The first lecture will be on January 19th, 2022 at 14:15am.
Unfortunately, due to the Corona situation, the lecture will be via Zoom - the Zoom link will be sent out by e-mail.
This course is a Learning-by-Doing course - you will learn how to write distributed OO programs that solve some significant problems in distributed system and run them on a world-wide experimental testbed spanning multiple continents.
So there is an emphasis on your writing and experimenting with distributed programs.. Be prepared to do a lot of work - and to have fun :-)
See you at the first lecture on January 19th, 2022.
Sincerely,
Eric
