Semester page for IN5180 - Autumn 2025

Please make sure the signal generator load is set to "High Z". Having it set to "50 Ohm" has caused issues for some students.

I've added a diagram under "labs" to show how to setup the automatic transfer function measurement of the amplifier.

To setup the lab instruments for systematic measurements using matlab, use the IN3170 instructions and script.

however, getting trace-data from the oscilloscope is not yet implemented in python

We've added CMOS layout exercises under "CadenceIC". These are not obligatory but they are really fun. Layout experience is crucial to connect the formulas and schematics you learn to the physical chips you are designing. You can ask for guidance during the exercise sessions or come by my office.
