We have now published the Answers and grading guidelines for the exam. Most of the students should be able to see their grades online.

In total, we have 46 candidates who took the exam, 20 in IN3060 and 26 in IN4060.

We are very happy to see that quite many students got good grades. Around 50% students got A or B for both IN3060 and IN4060 courses.

Congratulations!

Have a nice summer :)

I would like to clarify the rules of using mattermost channel tomorrow during the exam.

If you have any questions during the exam, you are only allowed to send direct/private messages to Ole Magnus and Jieying. You are NOT allowed to send any messages in IN3060 channel. Otherwise, it will be counted as cheating. Any kind of communication about the exam between students, even in public is NOT allowed.

If you have questions about the first three sections, please send direct messages to @olemholt. If you have general questions or the questions are about the last two sections, please send messages to @jieyingc.

We will send messages on this channel, if we find some questions that we would like to clarify. Additionally, we will also summarize all questions on this website: /studier/emner/matnat/ifi/IN3060/v21/eksamen/home-exam.html.

Good luck!

(\forall R.C)^I contains domain elements that have R successor to domain elements that interpret C and also the domain elements that don't have R successor.

(\exists R.C)^I contains domain elements that have at least one R successor to domain elements that interpret C.

One thing we should notice when we try to write DL axioms to model a statement is that, it is better to make sure that this DL statement should work for every interpretation.

For example, if we want to model a statement that a woman is a person who has only female gender. It is not sufficient to write "Woman \subseteq Person \sqcap \forall hasGender.Female". Because if, in the interpretation, we have a person that don't have any gender information. In this case, the reasoner will think this person is a woman. But in fact, this person might be a man. On the other hand, It is also not sufficient to write "Woman \subseteq Person \sqcap \exists hasGender.Female". Since, for examp...

We share the questions that come from students and provide answers here:

Q: About multiple choices in the exam. Is it better to choose nothing in multiple choice questions, if you don't know the answer?

A: If you didn't choose any option, you will get 0 points, but if you choose one, you will have a 25% chance to get at least 1 point. In that case, if you choose the wrong answer, you will still get 0 points. I guess the smartest way is to choose one option that you think is most likely to be correct. You have nothing to lose. But of course, if it is possible, it is best to select all correct answers.
