Teaching organization

Because of the corona pandemic, we have made some adjustments to the teaching

Lectures

Because this is a large course with 350 students, we cannot offer physical lectures. Instead of physical lectures, we will have two activities:

  • A weekly interactive Zoom-session, Wednesdays at 10:15 am
  • Prerecorded video lectures

The work will be organized into weeks. A week will start and end with the interactive Wednesday session. We will start the week by introducing the theme for the week and the main learning goals for the week. This will be followed by the videos which you may watch at your own pace when you find it convenient. We will conclude the week the following Wednesday where you may ask questions to the videos and the weekly curriculum.

The Wednesday sessions will end before noon, but will probably be somewhat shorter, maybe 45-60 min. The weekly videos will be roughly 90 minutes, sometimes longer, sometimes shorter.

Group sessions

We will offer weekly 2-hours group sessions. There will be weekly exercises for the group sessions and possibilities for discussing the mandatory assignments. The plan is to have five physical groups and one Zoom group. Because of the current corona restrictions, all groups will initially have to be digital. See the page on group sessions for updated information.

Mandatory assignments

There will we three mandatory assignments. All assignments must be passed to qualify for the final exam. They are graded on a pass-fail scale. For deadlines see this page.
