The relevant study material for the exam consists of the following resources:
- Slides and videos (i.e. recordings)of the lectures
- Physical book “Research Methods in Human-Computer Interaction” by Lazar, Feng, and Hochheiser (2017); Second Edition:
- Designated book chapters as specified on the course website and below
- Content of the three mandatory assignments
- Named article with a focus on research contributions in Human-Computer Interaction (PDF can be found below)
Even though all compulsory topics are touched on in the lectures, not all the content addressed in the designated chapters can be covered in detail in the lectures due to time constraints. Consequently, I recommend using the lecture slides as a starting point for studying for the exam. As a second step, I recommend complementing the content communicated on the slides by studying the related chapters in the book by Lazar et al. (2017). In addition, I strongly recommend engaging with the content discussed in the group sessions and the feedback you received for your assignments as an additional resource for studying for the exam.
