1. What types of information and data were essential to exchange at the individual level in the Covid-19 contact tracing exemplified by Meijerink et al. (2024), and how do these information needs support both contact tracing and disease surveillance objectives?
2. What are the main challenges for the exchange of data in contact tracing and disease surveillance systems?
3. How can digital solutions help address the challenges surrounding the exchange of health data for contact tracing and disease surveillance, and what benefits do integration with national registers provide?
4. What new challenges arise in the implementation and use of digital contact tracing tools, and what is our role as experts in the digitalization of the healthcare sector in ensuring effective and responsible deployment of such information systems?
