Welcome to the course!
Dear students of Glacial and Periglacial Geomorphology,
Welcome to GEO4410 autumn 2024! The first lecture is Monday 19th August, 10.15 in Mellomrommet (102, Geology building, ground floor). Attendance to the first lecture is compulsory, unless you've given prior notice.
The excursion will be Monday 26th August to Sunday 1st September. We will go to Jotunheimen and Rondane areas. Both places are mountain areas and require good clothing and footwear; it can become both cold, wet and muddy.
Remember to bring lunch for the first day of the excursion, whereas you will have meals covered during the rest of the excursion. A fee of NOK 150 per night must be paid (Epay). More info will follow during the first course week.
To to get the most of the excursion, it is strongly recommended that you read p.1-78 in the NGU report Quaternary geology of Norway beforehand.
