Let me know if you have a valid reason and would prefer to attend either morning or the afternoon session of the Lab (on 7.2.13).
Attendance at the first lecture is compulsory. Students who fail to meet, are considered to have withdrawn from the course unless they have previously given notice to the Studies administration [studieinfo@geo.uio.no]
Textbook: Petroleum Geophysics (published by UniGEO) available at Akademika. It covers most of the syllabus.
SYLLABUS: Elastic Waves, Seismic Acquisition and survey planning, Seismic Signal Theory and Processing (all chapters in textbook) and Seismic Imaging (all chapters but no sublevels).
First lecture Tuesday January 22 at 12.15-15.00 in Aud. II. Information about using the e-learning GeoCLASS will be provided along with how to register and the unique group code to access the system.
