Plan for Promax lab week 18: Monday 3rd 9.15-11.30 introduction to Promax in Aud. I (mandatory for all). Groups 1-5 work every day from 9am - 1pm, and groups 6-10 work every day from 1pm - 5pm (data lab 2nd floor). On site assistance every day from 10am-11am and 1pm-2pm. Each group submit report to gelius@geo.uio.no with deadline May 15

Deadline for submission of Matlab-exercises: Monday April 19. Reports should be sent to gelius@geo.uio.no. A maximum of three students per report.
Information regarding Matlab exercise 4: in section 3. the truncated inverse filter h has the following form in the Z-domain: H(Z)= 1/6 - (5/36)Z + (19/216)Z*Z.

Revised plan for week 10 : Monday March 8 from 2.15pm-4pm in Aud. II: Introduction to Matlab. Thursday March 11 from 3.15 pm - 5pm: review of: Exercise set 2 - Basic Seismic Processing Module. Exercise set 1 will be reviewed Monday March 22.
For those of you not familiar with MATLAB there will be arranged a short course in week 10 (within regular teaching hours).

First lecture Monday January 25 at 2.15 pm in Aud. II.
All students must register for the course in order to have access to learning material and E-learningsystem GeoCLASS. Go to webpage www.learninggeo.com and sign up as a new user. After registration has been finished find the Group License program under Information button. Run this program and give license code for this course. The license code is given to you at the first lecture (or send email to gelius@geo.uio.no). Course material is placed in a GEO4280 course folder (access via the Forum button). In this folder you will find course schedule, a set of exercises and 5 compendium.
