Questions and summary: Monday May 26 in Aud. II from 9.15am to about 2pm. There will be a review of last year's exam, Matlab exercises and Promax lab. In addition, you are free to ask questions.
Important: On Thursday May 8 there will be an info meeting about master-thesis topics from 1pm-3pm for the PEGG students. Hence on that day Groups 6-10 will not start before 3pm.
On Monday May 5 Groups 1-5 meet first in AUD. II at 9am for a short introduction to the PROMAX processing package. Groups 6-10 meet first in AUD. III at 1pm for the same introduction.
The seismic processing lab will take place in the computer lab in the second floor. Groups 1-5 work every day from 9am-1pm. Groups 6-10 work every day from 1pm-5pm. After 5pm it is possible to continue to work with the assignments (first come first serve), since 5 workstations will be reserved the full week for this lab. If you need some advice and help in connection with the Matlab exrecises, Nazmul will be available between 12 and 2pm Monday April 7th in Auditorium III (room 113). For those of you in need of support please make use of this opportunity.
Deadline for submitting Matlab-reports: Wednesday April 30th. You can work as individuals or form groups, but no more than 3 students per group. Make short reports including snapshots of key figures and a discussion. Reports should be submitted electronically to : gelius@geo.uio.no.
Misprint in Matlab exercise 4: In paragraph 3 it is refered to an inverse filter h obtained in Exercise 1 page 7. The correct page number should be 11. On some PC's you may also experience some problems acessing the Boxcar-function to be used in Matlab exercise 2. If it is not working a sampled box-function can be easily generated as a series of ones.
No teaching week 11. You should work with Matlab exercises. Next lecture: Tuesday March 25.

All students must register for the course in order to have access to learning material and E-learningsystem GeoCLASS. Go to webpage www.learninggeo.com and sign up as a new user. After registration has been finished find the Group License program under Information button. Run this program and give license code for this course. The license code is given to you at the first lecture (or send email to gelius@geo.uio.no). Course material is placed in a GEO4280 course folder (access via the Forum button). In this folder you will find course schedule, a set of exercises and 4 compendium.
