Welcome to the course

Hello everyone!

Welcome to the course FYS5310/9320 Electron Microscopy, Electron Diffraction and Spectroscopy II.

We will start classes Thursday next week, January 28th, at 12:15.

All teaching will take place in SMNs meeting room "Agora" in 澳门葡京手机版app下载sparken. Lectures will be every week on Thursdays 12.15-14, while on Wednesdays 12.15-16 we will have lab and colloquia. This will not be every week, more like every third, I will post and frequently update a schedule on the webpage, and also notify you by email. You should probably not schedule any recurring meetings during this time.

The first lecture will be an introduction to the course and the Electron Energy Loss Spectroscopy. If you want to prepare for this, you can read chapters 5.1 and 5.2 in the textbook of Fultz and Howe, and chapter 37 in the textbook of Williams and Carter. These can be access for free online through the UiO network, links can be found on the right hand side of this webpage.
