Hi all,
the oral results of todays exam are as follows:
15801: A
15803: A (+)
15804: C (+)
15805: C
Counting as 60%, this combines with the written exam to a final grade of
15801: B
15803: A
15804: C
15805: D
Well done, everyone -- and thanks a lot for actively contributing to the course!!

The midterm exams have now been corrected. Here you can find a detailed breakdown of the points, along with the grade that you would have obtained if this was the final exam. Note that the midterm only enters as 40% in the final grade. If, for example, you received a week C now, you can still get an overall B with a 'good B' (or better) in the oral exam.
Let me know if anything is unclear about the point distribution -- but please make sure to take a look at the detailed grading instructions (and solutions) before.
...due to a faculty event that I have to attend.
In this course we will use AstroDiscourse for communicating outside of lecture / group exercise hours. So please take a look at a detailed guide here if you haven't used this tool before. Look for `fys4160-24v' once you have logged into the platform (with your standard student login).
In general, this kind of tool is really useful once one gets above a critical level of usage. So use it actively to ask and discuss any questions you may have!
A tentative plan for this second course in quantum field theory (FYS5120) can now be found here, including reading suggestions. On the semester pages, you will always find up-to-date relevant information like problem sets, lecture times (inkl. potential changes and updates) etc.
Welcome, and looking forward to seeing you on Tuesday, January 23 ! [note that teaching only starts in week 4 for this course; week 3 thus offers an excellent opportunity to review what you learned in QFT I -- you'll need most of this :)]
