Thursday the 17th of january I will consider the electron self energy and present techniques to calculate it. After this I will consider the vacuum polarization and the vertex correction.

Most topics of the course might be found in the textbook of:

Peskin and Schroeder: "An introduction to Quantum field theory" (Addison Wesley) Some things also in the newest (blue) edition of Mandl and Shaw (textbook of 4170)

The first lectures will be on renormalization andregularization of QED,- which will be soon extended to QCD.

Usually lectures will be on tuesday and thursday,- but another day will also be chosen to have some flexibillity
