Are you wondering how nuclear reactors work? Are you interested in green energy, and would like to learn what the deal with nuclear energy is? Welcome to FYS4580 - Introduction to reactor physics!
The first lecture is on Mon. Aug 19th at 10:15 in V203. I will give an introduction to the course, and present an overview of what you will learn. Marius, our group teacher, will talk about the computational code OpenMC that you will use to calculate criticality. We will also repeat some important nuclear physics topics, before moving on the "good stuff".
