I've uploaded a small text on Diffusion Monte Carlo to the project area.
This week the focus will be on the project report and running the necessary numerical experiments.
We start up again this Thursday with a discussion of the second and last project this semester.
There will be no lecture this week, only project work. The lab will be available from 1400 on Thursday as usual. You should try to have some onebody density plots ready by the end of this week.
There was a typo in assignment 1b in this years project. A factor 1/2 in the exponential in the Jastrow factor has been removed.
Welcome to Computational Physics II (Quantum Mechanical systems).
We start up on January the 19th, with a short introduction to the course and the exam project. The rest of the day will be used to get everything up and running on the local cluster.
I will be overseas the following week, so there will be no lectures on January the 26th.
Most of the documents on the site is a copy of last years material, but they will give you an idea of the content of the course.
The first part of the project will be the same as for last year, for those of you who wish to get a head start.
