Welcome to FYS4340!

Some practical information:

?The lectures are based on the books ¡°The Theory and Practice of Analytical Electron Microscopy in Materials Science¡± by Arne Olsen. These books can not be bought in the book store, but will be given to you during the course. However, the "Transmission Electron Microscopy" 2nd edition, by D.B. Williams and C.B. Carter is also recommended. The website linked to under "Matter-TEM" gives you access to some of the material included in the books by Williams and Carter.

?On Tuesday 30th of August we will again meet in room ?262 in the Physics building unless you get a mail from me stating othervise.
