A visit to MiNaLAB and SINTEF's department of Microsystems and Nanotechnology will take place on April 13th.

MiNaLAB carries out silicon sensors and actuators research and development with a wide range of applications. This visit is an excellent opportunity to learn more about MEMS processing technology and applications.

The lab is located in Gaustadalléen 23 C - within 10 min walking range from the UiO campus. Entrance from west.

Additional information will follow.

The Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) based project alternative can unfortunately not be offered as an alternative. It has turned out that it is too much effort to verify that the corresponding firmware is working.

The schematics is however kept available for anyone interested in copying parts of it, since building blocks (such as the IMU device) might be used in other projects - if you find a way to use it!

The schematics can be found in a separate folder on this page.

Since it was not time to present all 4 alternative lab projects last Thursday, we will allocate some time on Wednesday Feb 3rd for an introduction to the two remaining alternatives.

The course will start Wedensday 27nd Jan 12:15 in Lille Fysiske Aud.

The first hour lecture will give an introduction to the course topic and objectives. The second hour lecture will also introduce the mandatory lab project, where you get to design and produce your own printed circuit board.

During the Thursday lecture (Aud ?467) at 09:15, ELAB will give more details on lab project.

That is all for now - more information will follow on Wednesday and Thursday!

Best wishes, Frode Strisland, course responsible.
