Exam: The permitted materials at the exam are 1. calculator, 2. Angell og Lian (or ?grim og Lian): St?rrelser og enheter i fysikken, and 3. Rottmann: Matematisk formelsamling.
Note, Chapter 5 of the lecture notes, which has not been lectured this semester, is not included in the curriculum of FYS4110.

The Midterm Exam is scheduled for the period October 14-21
Problem set 1 is now available on thew course page. Solutions will be discussed next Friday (2 September).
Lectures will normally be given on Tuesdays and Thursdays, while the Friday lecturing time will be used for discussion of solutions to the weekly problem sets. In first week of the course there will be no teaching Friday 26 August.
The first problem set will be made available at the end of this week, and will be discussed Friday 2 Seotember.
As textbook for the course we use a set of lecture notes that can be downloaded from the course page. The lecture notes may be updated during the semester.
At the end of each week the program for the coming week will be available under the headline Undervisningsplan.

These textbooks in parts include subjects discussed in the course, but they in addition cover many other subjects.
