Here's a solution for the exam. Feel free to point out misprints etc
I have posted the slides from the last lecture. Mostly, they answer questions from class concerning the exam, exam preparations, course material.
There will be an oracle session from 09:30-11:30 on June 14th, where you can ask questions about the course material and problems. Ask and Susanne will be available in office 473 (east wing) and probably a second room nearby.
You are allowed to bring the following to the exam:
Approved calculator. ?grim and Lian or Angell and Lian: "Fysiske st?rrelser og enheter". Rottman: "Matematisk formelsamling". Two A4 sheets with your own notes (you can write in both sides of the paper).
There will be only one problem session on May 19th, from 14-16 (Ask)
Since Thursday is a public holiday, we organize some alternative sessions where Ask and Marius are available for questions on problem set 12: Wed between 14:15 and 15 you can come to Marius' office (469?). On Friday 13:15-15, Ask will be available in the theoretical physics lunch room, 458?. You can also contact them on email.
You are supposed to look at Eq. 3.3, not Eq. 3.2.
The answer to problem 10.4.6. in Boas is wrong; the y and z coordinates in that answer should switch roles.
If you are unsure whether or not you have sufficiently many passed problem sets, feel free to ask on Thursday's group, or send me or Ask an email. Better to find out before it's too late!

A (hand written) solution for the home exam has been posted. We expect to be done correcting in no more than two weeks. Your score will be posted on the web page.
The home exam is now available on the same page as the weekly problems. Good luck! (And after that: Happy Easter!)
The deadline for problem set 5 is MONday 29/2, not FRIday 29/2. Sorry for the typo
Due to illness, half of the Problem Set 3 answer pile still hasn't been corrected. Just continue to hand in problem sets as usual, PS 4 will be corrected this week as usual. The missing half of PS 3 will spontaneously appear in the front office, hopefully near the end of this week.

We have received a problem set 2 without a name on it. Pls contact Ask Juhl Markestad, a.j.markestad@fys.uio.no if you think it is yours :)
There will be no lecture next Thursday. Problem sessions take place as usual.
Lectures are permanently moved to Lille Fysisk Auditorium starting Tuesday. Due to this increased capacity, everyone has now been admitted to the course. Also, there is an additional weekly problem session, Thursdays 14:15-16 in room 443?.
Please help us make sure that there is room for everyone at the problem sessions. In particular, please do NOT sit there during both time slots (i.e. 12-14 AND 14-16)...
Please note that the lectures in the first week have been moved to Auditorium 3 in the chemistry building.
In addition to the usual course book (Boas) I would like to test a new book, as a supplement, this year. It is rather expensive, so I don't expect most of you to buy it -- but the book store is supposed to have a few copies: Felder & Felder, "Mathematical methods in Engineering and Physics". If you decide to buy it, I would appreciate feedback on this book as the semester progresses. (NB! For complex analysis, i.e. the first 4-5 weeks of the course, this book does not seem very suitable. It looks better for some of the later topics.)
The course will be given in English. Therefore the plan is, like last year, to prepare exam problems in English only (but of course you may answer in bokm?l or nynorsk!). If you object to this, please contact the lecturer by February 1st.
