First problem set + reminder about rules

The first problem set is now out. As a reminder, this is how it works:

• ?The new problem set will always be put out (on the semester page) on Tuesday. You can then discuss, and start working on the questions, during the group exercise (= highly recommended !) on Thursday.
• deadline for handing in your answers in canvas is the Tuesday after, 3pm.
• When you hand in a problem set, you will also be assigned a random answer for peer review (hverandreretting), along with a detailed solution to all problems and instructions for how to assign points. The deadline for handing in the problem set that you have been assigned to correct is Friday (any time), so 10 days after the problem set has first been posted.

In total there will be 12 problem sets. In order to be admitted to the exam, you must have at least 3 out of the first 6 handed in and graded pass -- as well as at least 3 out of the final 6.

Here, 'pass' means at least 60% of a given problem set and that you participated in the peer review of that round. You only get one try per problem set.

Finally, if you want to have detailed feedback on your solution -- other than just pass/fail along with the points for each (sub)problem -- please indicate this clearly on your hand-in solution. Halvor and Eivind will then do their best to accommodate this.
