FRM5020 – Pharmaceutical research project
Schedule, syllabus and examination date
Course content
The course is meant for international exchange students who at least have a bachelor equivalent to a Bachelor in Pharmacy or general scientific competence relevant for the research project. The scientific project will vary depending upon the available projects at the Department of Pharmacy during the time of exchange. The student’s practical participation in the project will be decided by the supervisor or by the students in agreement with the supervisor.
Learning outcome
The student shall obtain an in-depth understanding of the scientific project.
Admission to the course
This course is only for students enrolled in an international agreement (Bilateral, Erasmus, Nordplus etc.) with the Department?of Pharmacy. Admission will be given if the student has an agreement with a reasearch group at the Department?of Pharmacy.

Recommended previous knowledge
Students must have a sufficient basis within the field of study for the research project and have a level of knowledge comparable to last year of a Norwegian Bachelor`s degree or first year of a Norwegian Master`s degree.
Teaching
Students will be given a supervisor to help them with the project assignment. The course does not include lectures.
Compulsory activities must be approved in order to sit for the exam. The compulsory activities are only valid in the semester they were approved.
Examination
Students will present their scientific work in a 20 min. oral presentation.?
For admission to exam, compulsory instruction and coursework have to be approved.

Students may use any aids they require.
Grading scale
Grades are awarded on a pass/fail scale. Read more about the grading system.
Resit an examination
If the result is failed, the student may present a revised oral presentation within 6 weeks.
