While the teachers are away on week 46, please read on your own chapter 12 of the lecture notes (photometry).
The deadline to submit your aberration lab reports to Haakon has been extended until November 13th.
The deadline for the SST numerical exercise has been postponed for a week due to overlapping with other assignments. The new deadline will be November 8th.
Next week (28th-31st October) you will do the aberrations laboratory. All groups are from 08:15 - 10:00. You can find the instructions attached here.

Finally the grades for the 2013 mid term exam are ready. They can be found here.
Instead of the diffraction lab you will do a numerical exercise using SST data. Instructions can be found here. Haakon will be available in Peisestua on Tuesday (22nd) and Thursday (24th) between 08:15 and 10:00.
Please note that the deadline for handing in the lab report for the 1st lab exercise is this coming Friday, October 4th.
Please, remember that the mid term exam will be on Monday October 7th at 10:00 am. Be ready!
To those traveling to La Palma, please remember to fill in the feltkort and hand it to me.
For those who need help carrying out the computer part of Lab 1, Haakon will be in room 304 on Monday 16 & Tuesday 17 from 8:15 till 10:00 to assist you.
If your home directory does not mount when you ssh to the nekkar machine, please try with papsukal.

As part of the course, the students have the possibility to visit the international observatory at La Palma in the Canary Islands, Spain. There is a limit of 15 participants for this tour and a selection process might be necessary. Priority will be given firstly to astronomy students in the bachelor programme in physics, astronomy and meteorology (FAM) , secondly to other FAM students.
