Size: RSOS2950 - max 2400 words (roughly 6 pages). Front page, contents page (if used) and bibliography are not included (but words in footnotes in the text are, if used, counted). Papers that exceed the 2400 word limit will be disallowed.

Left margin: 1.25” (3 cm), right margin is optional
Citation: shorter extracts (1 – 2 lines) from books or articles should be part of the text, like this: “CIA interrogators made their victims assume “stress positions” without any external mechanism” (McCoy 2006: 59). Longer quotations must be separated by indentation (no need to use citation marks), spacing 1, like this:
CIA interrogators made their victims assume “stress positions” without any external mechanism. Similarly, both the Paris Inquisition`s “water question” and the CIA?s “water boarding” forced fluids down the victim`s throat to simulate a sense of drowning (McCoy 2006: 59).
Bibliography: the bibliography at the end of the essay should only include works referred to or cited in the text, and be set up in alphabetical order like this:
