Dear all,
Please remember that the final lecture in JUS5730/JUR1730 (on Monday 11 November) will be devoted to exam preparation, in particular by discussing the previous exam assignment which was used for the mock exam this semester. If you haven't yet considered that assignment, please do so before the lecture.
If you have questions regarding the 4-hour exam and the “regulations for support materials” you are welcome to drop by and speak with student advisors, 6 and 13 November, from 12.15- 14.00, in Theologisk eksamssal, 2 th.floor, Domus Academica. Some materials regarding exam preparations will be uploaded on the semster page within the next few days.
Some equipment in Auditorium 6 is still out of order, requiring us to move the lecture on Monday 28 October to Auditorium 5, DA.

The lecture of 21 October on 'The Application of IHL in International Peace
Operations' will be delivered by Professor Terry D. Gill. He is Professor of
Military Law at the University of Amsterdam and the Netherlands Defence
Academy and Associate Professor of Public International Law at Utrecht
University, the Netherlands. Professor Gill is Director of the Research
Program on the Law of Armed Conflict and Peace Operations at the Amsterdam
Centre for International Law and of the Netherlands Research Forum on the
Law of Armed Conflict and Peace Operations (LACPO). He is a member of the
editorial boards of the Netherlands International Law Review, the Journal of
Armed Conflict & Security Law and the Journal of International Peacekeeping.

law and the use of force at The University of Amsterdam, Utrecht University

Due to technical problems in Aud 6 the lecture is moved to Aud 4 DA .
Students will have the opportunity to submit a mock exam by 25 October in Fronter, the exam will be discussed with the students 11 November. The mock exam instructions will be posted on the semester page from October 14.
A revised course outline has been posted. Date and time of lectures are not affected, but the order has been revised to allow for a guest lecture by Professor Terry Gill.
The purpose with this course is to give the basic guidelines to international students who don’t have knowledge about the Norwegian exam system.
An introductory course in answering exam questions will be held by Associate Professor Christina Voigt September 17, 12:15-14:00, Aud 14, Domus Bibliotecha. A booklet with examples of previous exam questions will be distributed at the meeting.
