SEMINAR ON NEW WEAPON TECHNOLOGY AND INTERNATIONAL HUMANITARIAN LAW

With technological advances, new dimensions in form and space have been added to the modern battlefield. These new dimensions have implications on how to apply international humanitarian law (IHL) in today¡¯s and future conflicts.

On October 25th 2012, a one day seminar will be held to discuss the challenges and possibilities that arise from applying IHL to new warfare technology. Emphasis will be directed to the use of cyber technology and drones in modern warfare.
